Here are Romney’s remarks to the NAACP courtesy of the NBRA. In these remarks Romney told them a hard truth…Obama’s policies are not helping the poor in this country, which of course includes African Americans who happen to be poor. I am sure it is a hard pill to swallow for an organization that largely chooses race over sound policy. Francis Rice recently penned a blog post coincidentally named Why Obama does not care about poor blacks (lots of good links in there). Perhaps at this point it has become an accurate assertion because you would think that someone with a heart for the poor would have abandoned the failed policies of this administration long ago. They are obviously not helping the poorest in this country. Perhaps it is a misplaced heart, or perhaps it is something else. Ms. Rice links to many good articles in her post and the majority of them deal with Obama’s past influences. Those many influences that the media tried to portray as insignificant for a potential leader of the free world. Or somewhat free. The reality is that if you are influenced with the wrong things growing up it is very hard to dismiss them when you are grown. America is now learning this lesson the hard way…or I can at least hope we are learning. The fact that the NAACP booed Romney’s intention to get rid of Obamacare shows that a large portion of the population is not.
