I took a couple of days off from writing anything…and I believe the earth is still spinning like it is supposed to…but don’t ask me to prove it. I also see that Obama is still in office and still speaking his mind. I found his comments on the Uganda bombing by Islamic terrorists to be quite interesting.
“What you’ve seen in some of the statements that have been made by these terrorist organizations is that they do not regard African life as valuable in and of itself. They see it as a potential place where you can carry out ideological battles that kill innocents without regard to long-term consequences for their short-term tactical gains.”
One of his advisors clarified with the following:
“references the fact that both U.S. intelligence and past al Qaeda actions make clear that al Qaeda — and the groups like al Shabaab that they inspire — do not value African life. The actions of al Qaeda and the groups that it has inspired show a willingness to sacrifice innocent African life to reach their targets.”
He took it even further claiming that these terrorist groups (or proprietors of man made disasters if you will) are racists. The interesting thing from these comments is not the fact that they are not true (because they are valid comments), but that Obama still cannot link Islam to these extremists. It is in fact their new policy to not to refer to Islam when describing terrorists. The administration shows time and time again that they do not understand the enemy. The Qur’an itself tells Muslims to not value the lives of non-Muslims (not just those of certain races or socio-economic status). It in fact teaches that there are 3 paths for these people…conversion, live in Dhimmi status, or death. Another scary proposition is that if Obama and his staff cannot make the connection between terrorism and Islam, then they more than likely do not understand the ultimate goal of our enemy. Once again you cannot win a fight against an enemy that you do not understand. I imagine the frustration of military commanders working with Obama advisors that did not understand this connection led to the General McCrystal fiasco. You can argue over the ultimate methods that McCrystal used (publicly calling out his boss in Rolling Stone), but you cannot say he was not telling the truth. I guess everyone has their limits of what they can take…even arguably the best General we currently have in our ranks. But all hope is not lost. Obama has appointed General Petraeus in his place. Ironically enough, Gen Petraeus led the effort to produce the new counterinsurgency manual used by our military, which does link Islam to these terrorists. Obama and his advisors seem to be the odd men out here.
Oh, in case you were wondering, the title of the post was not a misprint…I was just giving adequate coverage of the oil spill (MSM standards). Ok, I can’t really do that. I have to say something. After all, it appears that the Obama administration is actually trying to make the situation worse. The drilling moratorium is a perfect example. A federal judge struck down the administration’s actions, then that decision was upheld by a federal appeals court, but that will not deter Obama and his agenda. By Obama’s order, the administration has already changed the wording and instituted another drilling ban in the gulf. This ban is causing layoffs in an area whose economy is already taking a huge hit. I also read that some companies have already made the decision to move their rig operations to other countries. It has to make you wonder what exactly the Obama agenda is in this case. Whatever the agenda, it is backfiring. Despite the lack of outcry from media (who should be upset because according to CNN the administration is blocking their access to the Gulf) and the Hollywood Elite, the American public is aware of the incompetence and is losing faith in his leadership. The evidence is in recent polls that show his approval rating at around 40%. Perhaps he is hoping that people will just forget about his actions during this clean-up, but that is not the character of a true leader. He perhaps should be down on the gulf, finding ways to cut through the red tape, and helping to formulate workable solutions. His inaction has given the Heritage Foundation time to do just that. They have organized a team and are identifying these problems…and providing solutions. You can check out their observations here. It is really just common sense stuff.

I wish (want) to voice my dislike (disrespect) of Obamas policies

These liberals see everything, and I mean everything, through the lens of racism. They’re a bunch of one-trick ponies. It’s all they understand and no other set of facts is allowed to intrude on this world-view. Pathetic, really.
