Living pretty close to Houston I see a Bill White bumper sticker on a few cars every once in a while. It kinda blows my mind that anyone from Houston could support him for Governor as bad as he was for the city of Houston. I guess that is what a lack of quality education will do to you…that and a propensity to not pay attention to anything at all going on all around you. Lets just look at what his recent influence has done. We all know about the EPA’s power grab. I wrote about it as it was starting. Remember John Kerry’s very unconstitutional remarks about the power of the executive. Well, recently the EPA has taken it even further by specifically targeting the state of Texas. The EPA has determined that many TCEQ rules suddenly do not meet criteria in the clean air act. Things you should know. The state program by TCEQ has been wildly successful at cleaning up the air while not hampering business. It has operated the program since the Clinton administration with no problems from the feds until now…that is until Bill White met with the EPA last year. The Obama administration makes a habit of attacking political enemies and Texas is surely one of those. We are conservative and are doing better than the rest of the country and that just cannot be tolerated. Luckily, we have Greg Abbott on our side and he has already filed a lawsuit against the EPA. If we cannot get him to run for Governor, then we need to put this guy on the Supreme Court.
And this is certainly not a one time thing. Bill White wrote an email to Rahm Emanuel right after the election explaining to him how he thought the administration should try to sell the cap and trade legislation to the American public. Why on earth would Bill White promote something that would devastate the economy of Texas? It’s called political agenda trumping common sense and it is not something we need. We need leaders who will fight the intrusion of the Federal government, not those who aid it.
People in Houston who support Bill White should really open their eyes and stop blindly following every liberal who puts themselves on a ballot. It could be very dangerous to our livelihood here in Texas.
