Be prepared for another campaign speech

June 15, 2010

In preparation for his speech tonight, Obama has finally spent some time down on the coast.  It is attempt to show leadership that in reality does not exist.  Case in point, we are on day 56 and this is the first time he has even shown the slightest evidence of trying to perform his duties as President. Just like during his campaign, he has shown poor leadership and poor judgment.  Need I remind anyone of all his failed appointees and advisors.

He turned this incident into a political game; blaming others and pushing his agenda while he should have been on the coast making the necessary decisions to solve the problem.  It took nearly 2 months of criticism before he has finally chosen to do what everyone needed him to do on day 1.  He has finally approved the help that was offered by numerous countries.  He has finally approved the barrier islands and he is finally meeting with the CEO of BP (After saying if he was in charge he would fire him…without meeting him face to face).  You get these types of actions from Obama because he is a politician, not a true leader.  His first instinct was to use the crisis to his political advantage.    And he will continue to do so.  Do not be fooled by these belated actions in response to criticisms.   In an email to Organizing for America, Obama tells them that he plans on using this crisis to continue to push for climate change legislation.  In another memo, Joel Benenson tells Democrats to use this legislation against Republicans in the fall to frame them as “Big Oil and corporate polluters who have blocked energy reform for decades and politicians protecting the special interests that fund their campaigns.”  (Here is their full game plan) The bad news for Democrats is that BP has been lobbying for these carbon taxes for years…they practically wrote the bill.  Should make you wonder what’s actually in it and is a good question for your liberal friends.  Ask them, “why would big oil push for legislation that was not beneficial for big oil?” and then be prepared for the deer in the headlights stare.

I am getting pretty tired of all the misleading and inaccurate political propaganda from these guys so I plan on putting out some counter arguments to arm anyone that wants to read.  Until then, imagine how much good they could do if they put their energies into solving the current problems instead of looking for ways to use a crisis to push an agenda.  Would actually be another good question for your liberal friends.  I guarantee you their answer will have the word Bush in it.  What is that old wise saying…two wrongs do not make a right.
