Lone Survivor

February 8, 2010

A family member loaned me this book, which after reading I have decided is a must read for any American.  The book is called Lone Survivor, The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10. Generally it will make you feel inadequate as an American and as a person (at least that is how I felt), but it is an important book for so many reasons.  First and foremost, it is a story that honors these select few American soldiers who are willing to go to the world’s end to defeat our enemies. Second, it gives you a peak into our enemy’s world; their hatred and brutality that many refuse to acknowledge.  And lastly, his thoughts on the liberal media and liberals in general were right on target when it comes to the war effort.  In the end, it will make you proud and hopeful for the future; that there are still brave men such as Marcus Luttrell willing to protect you and me.
