I did not write anything yesterday as there was an ongoing discussion from my last post that I thought was interesting. But I am back at it today and found something that both liberals and conservatives can probably agree on. And that is stopping corruption. Liberal blogger Jane Hamsher and Conservative Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform are calling for the resignation of Obama Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel. Here is the copy of their letter to the AG and the background information supporting their cause.
Anyone following Obama knows that Emanuel was his very first appointment and should have foreshadowed the Chicago style politics that were to come. I wrote about the type of person Rahm Emanuel was when Obama first appointed him. I also gave a one liner to his involvement with the housing GSE that is the basis for this call of resignation.
Whatever your political ideology, I believe this is something that we can all agree on. Not that anything will be done (mainly because part of the complaint is that the Obama administration is blocking an investigation into this very matter). But at least someone has brought it up from both sides of the aisle. It should be only the beginning, but then I guess Obama would not have much staff left.
On a different note I have decided to try to read up on another piece of big government legislation that was quietly passed recently by the House; H.R. 4173. It appears Barney Frank has already guaranteed the big financial institutions another bailout…just in case. It is another 1,000 page monster so hopefully I can find some clifftsnotes.
