But will they be investigated. A few weeks ago David Lagstein, ACORN’s chief organizer in the San Diego area, was caught on tape discussing the recent investigation of his organization with some Democrat friends. He said he had been in communication with Brown’s office (DA) and told his Democrat friends that “the fault WILL be found with the people that did the video - not ACORN.” This might indicate that there is a pre-determined outcome to the ACORN investigation, but this is not what has them busted.
A few days before the DA arrived at the National City office ACORN dumped thousands of documents and records. But here is the best part. They did not shred them. They dumped them in a dumpster by their office. Even better, a private investigator saw them do it and has recovered these documents. BigGovernment.com plans to release what they find even if the DA and/or Eric Holder do not prosecute. Perhaps doing so will force them to go after their friends. The initial report stated that the documents expose ACORN’s political agenda and their ties to labor unions and radical far left organizations.
In all of this let’s not forget Obama’s role with this organization and his recent hire of Bob Bauer as chief counsel. Obama once said “I’ve been fighting alongside Acorn on issues you care about my entire career…” And it is true. Obama ran one of their scandal ridden voter registration efforts, worked as a trainer for the group, and then as a lawyer. He also made some generous donations to the group later as a board member of the Woods Fund (with Bill Ayers). During his campaign he funneled around $800,000 to the group to help him campaign. I am sure he would love for all of this to go away, but it is not. One day people will be forced to hold him accountable for these associations.
