I have talked about the Iran 30 guide here lately so I thought I would post a generic letter today that people can use to spread this idea to as many churches as possible. I am sure some of you can come up with something better, but I just wanted to put something out there as a guide. I hope you will join me in sending this request to as many churchess as you can. Here it is.
The oppressive Islamic regime that currently exists in Iran has made Iranians the most open Muslim people in the world to Christ. But spreading the gospel inside of Iran is extremely difficult and extremely dangerous. There are many things that we can do as Christians to help the people of Iran, but the one thing that the missionaries on the front lines are asking for is prayer. And that is why I am writing. To encourage your church to pray for Iran as this is one of our most powerful weapons in this fight.
To this end, Advancing Native Missions and Elam Ministries are distributing a new prayer guide to help Christians discover what is happening behind the scenes in Iran and pray effectively. The project is called Iran30. This guide includes 30 easy to read prayer topics that will help you play your part in proclaiming Christ to Iranians.
You can visit the websites of these two ministries to read more.

Elam Ministries Iran30 http://www.iran30.org/current-news/
Through either of these sites you and your church or your Sunday school class can order copies of the Iran 30 guide. 200 copies can be purchased for as little as $250. Each day of the guide includes a background story and specific prayer requests. I have listed all 30 days of prayer requests on my personal blog if you would like to see the general outline.
You can see it here. http://thesteadyconservative.com/wordpress/2009/11/11/prayer-for-iran/
You can even pray for Iran by simply using these prayer requests as your guide if money is an issue. Or contact me as I have scanned the entire guide.
As a side note…I am not officially affiliated with either one of these missionary organizations but rather I am simply a Christian who received one of these guides and am trying to do my part. Advancing Native Missions has a modest goal of reaching 100 churches to pray for Iran. I would once again encourage your church to accept this challenge and also continue to spread the word to your sister Churches. Thank you for your time.
