I have been holding back a bit, but now I think it is appropriate to reveal my superpower. I have recently discovered that I might be the only human on earth (or at least in Houston) that can see red traffic lights from distances of more than 100 meters. I reluctantly came to terms with this reality a few weeks ago when a lady in a minivan laid on her horn over and over because I was not accelerating fast enough to the next red light only about 400 meters away. Then after sitting at the red light for about 30 seconds, she laid on her horn again as I once again did not accelerate fast enough to the next red light. She then went into the oncoming lane of traffic and turned left into Sonic about the same time I passed the same entry point. I like Sonic more than most, but I do not think I would risk a Darwin award for it. Actually, in light of today’s events I think I am going to nominate myself for the Nobel Peace Prize. I think I have a good chance.
Sorry for that but I just couldn’t help myself. Hopefully those of you who fight for pole position at red lights are not offended. I did see a couple of things regarding more of Congress’ antics that I thought were important for people to be aware of. The first was that Democrats attached a hate crime bill to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010. This disgusting tactic is just that. Congressman Pence released a statement that I thought was appropriate. You can read it here.
The second is a confirmed story from the Foundry Blog. Using information from a senior aid to Harry Reid, this article details how Reid plans to use political loopholes to restructure the Baucus Bill into something the far left is craving using HR 1586 as a shell. It is a pretty scary concept and should be read by everyone.
I plan to put something out on Obama and Islam a little later so check back.

As a fellow superpower driver I can also see upcoming red lights and after about 300 days of the same trip some people might actually expect a red on their journey. (see SanJac lights) Sadly the same group floors it between the two lights.
As a superpowered driver I would invite you to the Justice League but its Just Us.
