Glenn Beck has been taking a lot of heat for his comments about Van Jones, Obama’s green jobs czar. Without even considering the constitutionality of all the czars Obama has created, Van Jones should not be in government simply because of his radical background and his lack of character. Two things that seemingly do not matter to our President.
Van Jones is a self proclaimed communist and black nationalist. Beck was heavily criticized for labeling Mr. Jones as such despite the fact that Jones called himself these things. Van Jones radical history started shortly after the Rodney King riots where he was arrested. Shortly after this he helped form Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), an offshoot organization from NAW who led gulf war protests in the early 90’s. STORM was a group committed to revolutionary Marxist policies including revolutionary feminism, urban Marxism and Third World Communism. He even named his son Cabral after Amilcar Cabral, a revolutionary Marxist leader. After the terrorist attacks in 2001, he held the very same views as Rev. Wright, Obama’s long time pastor. He was quoted as saying “Anti-Arab hostility is already reaching a fever pitch as pundits and common people alike rush to judgment that an Arab group is responsible for this tragedy”. Another document released by the group said the following
“That night, STORM and the other movement leaders expressed sadness and anger at the deaths of innocent working class people. We were angry, first and foremost, with the U.S. government, whose worldwide aggression had engendered such hate across the globe that working class people were not safe at home. We honored those who had lost their lives in the attack — and those who would surely lose their lives in subsequent U.S. attacks overseas.”
As Glenn Beck pointed out, he also founded Color of Change who has recently been pressuring advertisers to pull their ads from his program. Yet another radical group from a radical man. After his direct work with these groups, Van Jones migrated to the environmental front. A route many other socialists have taken as they see this issue as a way to push through their desired policies. Just days before his appointment he gave a speech to a youth forum describing how they need to use environmentalism not just for the environment sake, but to “change the whole system.”
And if all of this was not enough for Obama to evaluate his character, he gave the following response on February 11, 2009 to a question at Berkley on why Democrats were having issues pushing through their agenda when Republicans did not.
“They’re a$$holes. That’s a technical political science term. And Barack Obama’s not an a$$hole. I will say this, I can be an a$$hole. And some of us who are not Barack Hussein Obama are gonna have to start getting a little bit ugly”
You can see the video here.
I do not know what is worse. His response or the immediate laughter from his ultra liberal audience. On second thought, the worst part is that Obama appointed this man to a government position one month after he made this comment. It means one of two things. Obama does not even vet his appointees who do not have to be confirmed, or he simply does not care about their character or radical past. Neither is good. For him or our country.

Also reported today-
Jones joined the “9/11 truther” movement by signing a statement in 2004 calling for then-New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and others to launch an investigation into evidence that suggests “people within the current administration may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war.”
Was also signed by the likes of Jodie Evans…Code Pink Founder and Obama associate.
Nice bringing-together of various details of the Jones creature’s background, several of which I’d not yet known. It’s of course good to see this disgustingly unfit, essential anti-American character out of the administration; and as you say the mystery at the center of Obamism continues (”Does he or doesn’t he have the full scoop on the countless unsavory people he hangs out with/mentors under/befriends/appoints?”). In my opinion though we would be naive to think at this point that such a lengthy trail of radical miscreants can be anything but intentional associates: respected and concurred with in their radicalism by Obama. It’s a numbers game for me.
