My morning drive

August 26, 2009

I was driving to work this morning when I saw a minivan with no less than 3 Christian bumper stickers, one saying that God is Pro-Life.  Then in the lower left hand corner was an old Al Gore Campaign sticker.  It is times like these that I really question the intelligence or maybe rather the diligence of the American voter.  Does this person really not understand that the people they are voting for stand against the very values they are proclaiming on the rest of their car?  Or do they just not care to educate themselves?  Maybe it’s worse and they are like many of the politicians that they support who only use their Christian faith as reasoning when it is convenient.  How else can you explain someone who is pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, but then claim their support for socialistic policies in the name of Christ.  Even my feeble post on the topic dismantles this logic.  I am sure anyone reading this post could give an even stronger argument.

The bible teaches us that we should hold other Christians accountable for such things.  So if you know a Christian who votes for these liberal candidates, question them.  Hold them accountable for their actions.  I would be interested to hear their response.  You can call it my miniature fishy information policy.

I see cars with contradictory bumper stickers/decals a lot too. I never know if it’s one person who doesn’t realize the views of the politician versus their own or maybe just various members of a family sticking opposing decals on one car. But I agree that there are people out there who have no idea what the person they’re supporting is doing in office.
