There is an interesting fight going on in Washington these days. Or at least it is a perceived fight by many Democrats. It all started with Obama releasing executive documents that were supposed to be incriminating for those in the Bush administration in another effort to place blame. I think I am not alone in saying that the release of these memos did significant damage to our intelligence organization and put our operatives at risk.
Then there is Pelosi. It was leaked that she was briefed on these interrogation techniques and did nothing. Being a Bush blame-master herself, she of course denied that the leak was true. Now documents have been released showing that she was indeed briefed. Caught in a lie. Her story has changed so many times its like I am watching Cops.
Democrats such as Levin, Durbin, and Feinstein find it very suspect that this information is being released now and it nothing more than a political ploy to shift blame. I find it funny that when Obama released documents it was to inform the public, but when the CIA does it, evidently it is a political ploy to damage Democrats. I guess that is only the case when the documents are damaging to you and your colleagues. For the record, the CIA released these documents because of a congressional request although I am sure they were more than eager to get it out in the open.
All this just goes to show you how our supposed servants of the people will lie and manipulate information to gain political power. But just as the people of Pennsylvania re-elected Murtha after falsely calling our Marines cold blooded killers, I doubt that the liberal masses in California will vote out Pelosi; no matter what she does.
