David Ogden - Obama’s Choice for Deputy Attorney General

February 11, 2009

In an effort to give every single person from the Clinton’s administration a job, Obama has tapped David Ogden to be the Deputy Attorney General to serve under Eric Holder.   And as he has with other appointees, Obama does not even consider character as criteria for the position.  Just look at his General Counsel, Gregory Craig.

As I mentioned Ogden worked for Clinton’s General Counsel and in his Attorney General’s office, but that is not what is troubling about this appointment.  Like others Obama has appointed, he has represented many detestable clients and causes.

For the cause of abortion, he has argued that parental notification was an unconstitutional burden on 14 year old girls seeking an abortion stating

“There is no question that the right to secure an abortion is fundamental.”

Ogden also argued that abortion is a method of family planning that should be eligible for federal funding.

He has, of course, argued for gay and lesbian rights as well.  What liberal has not.  I think it is a part of some type of initiation or something.  On this point, Ogden argued that there was no rational basis for the Army’s exclusion of gay people.  I got a few for him…close quarters, troop morale…etc.

Then there is his fight for pornography.  He opposed the Children’s Internet Protection Act of 2000 and the Child Protection and Obscenity Enforcement Act.  The first kept kids from accessing pornography in public libraries, and the second required pornography producers to personally verify their models were over the age of 18.  His argument was classic.  The legislation would “burden too heavily and infringe too deeply on the right to produce First Amendment protected material.” He has taken numerous pornography cases to the Supreme Court on behalf of the ACLU, pornography distributors and even Playboy.

This is just another instance of the eroding of family values that Obama has brought to the White House.  Another choice and another bad change.

Unbelievable. Well, not really.
It is very discouraging that the only way you can obtain this sort of information is if you happen to keep up with a site such as this one. Maybe when you get home in the evening you can pick through the headlines on FNC.
Or, if you have a long enough commute and tune in at the right time you can catch the conservative spin on things from an AM radio station. And that is even under attack by the loony libs.
Point being, we have to look for a truth if we really want it because the mainstream will do one of two things, if not both, they will hide it and hope you are not interested enough to find it, or they will just flat out lie.
And God forbid someone call them out on it! Thats when the tears start flowing and the victims come out of the wood work to burn conservatives at the stake and try to shut down our little AM stations.
Just do what I do and keep a good shovel on hand and where tall boots.
