While everyone is talking about the pork laden stimulus that Obama and many Democrats in Congress are pushing, President Obama very quietly signed a pro union executive order on Friday. It ordered the use of union labor for federal construction projects. This is one of the most blatant payoffs I have ever seen.
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele has made the following statement.
“President Obama’s executive order will drive up the cost of government at a time when we should be doing everything possible to save taxpayer dollars. Federal contracts should go to the businesses that can offer taxpayers the best value – not just the unions who supported the Democrats’ campaigns last year. Quietly signing executive orders to payback campaign backers undermines Obama promise to change Washington. It is a disappointment for Americans hoping for more transparency and less politics as usual in Washington.”
I would have to agree with everything the chairman said. It is nothing less than a payoff to the unions who supported his campaign with both money and troops. And the fact that it was done with no media coverage shows that he once again is trying to slip one by Americans, which is anything but transparent.

Well what did everyone expect? The media coddled him the whole campaign. Never pressing him for the hard answers. My gut feeling all along was Hitler spoke of change and promises also, so did Castro so the American people voted blindly and basically for a color change because that is all they got. I would have voted for Colin Powell in a NY sec but not this man. READ the book folks, he outlines the parts of the Constitution he thinks should be changed. Two weeks into the job he has to go on the road to get the adulation that he became addicted to in the span of 2 years and now 100% of the people will suffer not just the 51% that blindly elected him. And this is only the beginning. It is going to be a LONG 4 years and in the end China ( a country that does not alow religion of any kind ) will own us. They are laughing now. Japan at least attacked and we had a chance to fightback. Not so this time—we are in for some very rough years. Everybody best pray to whom ever they believe in –soon very quietly that will be taken away from you also. Please note he does not have a church–they are looking !!!ead

I remember a story that someone told me 30 years ago when I was in college. Some guy slept with his girlfriends best friend and she found out about it. When his girlfriend confronted him on it he got out of it by telling her “I was drunk and I thought it was you.” She believed him.

Why is everyone so surprised. I never believe anything Obama said during his campaign except the word change. How can you not believe he is a socialist to the far left. He came from Chicago where no one in politics there has any integrity or honest American values. We have willingly and with socialistic enthusiasm, appointed a czar to our beloved Presidency which effectively has turned our Republic into a blatant oligarchy. The man is shameless in his detailed attention to the special interests who put him where he is. We are left with naught but the opportunity of a quiet political revolution to completely rid ourselves of the Congress that so sheepishly supports his every move. Attack the Congress while you still can and surely before this country collapses into a full scale depression.
I am absolutely delighted to see so many others seeing the truth. I ran a few search on the White house home page: Executive order…2/6/09….union and I came up with nothing. Newt Gingirch newsletter dated 3/11 says “Yesterday, so-called “Card Check” legislation was introduced in both the House and the Senate.” So the “facts” seem a little confused here. Maybe not the same thing but it would be nice to beable to check these things.
Does anyone really think sending Kennedy, Kerry and Neal a tea bag would change these guys.
