I was tempted to write about yet another Obama appointee who’s confirmation has been delayed due to tax issues. It is Labor Secretary Hilda Solis this time in case you were wondering.
But there is another issue that has been brought up by The Americans for Legal Immigration PAC. They have requested that Barack Obama’s aunt be deported. Now I know that people on the left will blast people like this group and me for attacking poor Zeituni Onyango. The problem is she is not exactly some poor innocent person and this is not an isolated situation. It is just one case of a resounding problem in this country.
Zeituni Onyango is Obama’s aunt, but she is in this country illegally. If fact she has been under a court order to leave the country for 4 years and refuses to do so. Instead she has been living in public housing paid for by our hard working taxpayers.
This instance shows the difference between legal immigrants who want to come to our country to create a better life for themselves and become an asset to our society and those who wish to take advantage of our system and become a drain on our economy, and a burden on citizens who are paying taxes.
This will be a major test for liberals in the administration and in Congress who have been fighting for illegals’ rights because they need those votes, but have vowed to uphold the laws of our country and the rights of our citizens.
