True socialist in position of power

January 13, 2009

And no, I am not talking about Obama.  It is Carol M. Browner, the President-elect’s choice for global warming czar.  This position was created by the incoming President and does not require a Senate confirmation.

Ms. Browner is the most open socialist that Obama has put into a position of power thus far. Until last week, she was listed as one of 14 leaders of Socialist International’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for global governance and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.

Socialist International is an umbrella group that encompasses socialist groups and parties from all over the world.  The group supports socialism and so of course is very critical of U.S. policies.

The Obama team says they see no problem with her affiliation with Socialist International, but that is like saying I have no problem with Obama putting the leader of the NRA in a powerful position.  Of course I don’t have a problem with that because that person believes what I believe.

I am sure they also do not have a problem with her affiliation with the Center for American Progress, and Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection, but I am sure most of you do.

And Clinton supporters do not fret, Ms. Browner also ran the Environmental Protection Agency during Bill Clinton’s Presidency.

It is very scary that Obama has put a person of this nature in a position that can receive no vetting through a confirmation hearing.  The energy policy has a direct impact on our economy and our security.  It is in fact important enough that the largest socialist organization in the world felt it was an area that they could infiltrate their progressive ideas into government.
