A couple of months ago I had a liberal minded person commenting on my site and all of their comments showed concern for government power specifically with civil liberties. I told them that if this is the case, then they must agree with Republican economic policies. Of course they did not get it and there lies the irony.
Liberals do not want the government to tell people if they can have abortions or have same sex marriages, but then it’s ok for them to control our gun ownership. They want to protect free speech and religion unless it means defending Christian values. I guess you could call it hypocrisy, but the fact that they do not realize it is hypocrisy is quite ironic.
This is especially true when it comes to economics as my comment alluded to. With every government program that is installed they are essentially taking away another small piece of liberty and freedom. We have the social security program begun 60 years ago that takes money from both the people and companies to pay others. Most now find themselves dependent on this system for retirement.
Now they want to take another small piece of liberty away with a free health care system for all….well, free if you don’t have a job. The government will take a little more money away from you and I and another part of our lives will be enslaved to this entity. Pretty soon we will become dependent on the government for everything and eventually those who are not dependent on the government will no longer be able to support those who are.
Then we will no longer be free. We will no longer have our liberty. And those who say they are simply fighting for our liberties will finally realize they have done the opposite. Just something to think about.

Great way to think about this. Your articles need to be in print for others to read that do not have internet so your words can get out to everyone, especially before this election!
do not worry too much about the socialized healthcare. Even though the Dems will have the White House, Senate & House, they will not get the healthcare done in four years. It is just too big. They would need to concentrate on it & there is just too much going on in the world. In my opinion we have lost many freedoms already. Liberty will win in the end, we just need to get our beloved Republican Party back!
