Media Bias Again?

September 2, 2008

The attack dogs of the Democratic Party have been let loose.  I am talking about the mainstream media.  Barack Obama finds himself in a great position because he does not have to directly attack his opponent.  The media does it for him while all the while he can sit back and say that is not how he does business.  Just please forget that Obama got his start in politics by running his opponent’s personal life through the mud to the point where he dropped out of the race.

The media has immediately attacked McCain’s running mate Sarah Palin.  Don’t let me be misunderstood, it is ok to vet the candidates, but they should vet both sides.  The New York Post ran a front page article about Palin’s 17 year old pregnant daughter, but does not even look into Obama’s connections with Ayers, Rezko, and Rev. Wright….to name a few.  What do you think is more important?

They have also brought out the fact that her husband got a DUI when he was 22…oh, two decades ago.  What about Barack Obama’s drug use as a teenager to include weed and cocaine?  Is it ok because he wasn’t caught?

Now everyone makes mistakes, but the media needs to have the professionalism to differentiate between what is important and what is not.  And if they are suddenly going to vet a new person on the political scene, they should realize that there are two of those this year.  And one of them they have yet to look into.
