I know I am a little late on this one but the Pelosi and Reid led Congress voted to take their 5 week vacation without addressing our country’s energy problem or any other issues for that matter. The Republican members are currently still in Washington discussing their all encompassing energy plan with anyone who will listen, which is unfortunately mostly voters who just happen to be visiting Washington.
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned how Pelosi personally attacked President Bush when he scolded them for not passing any spending bills; Congress’ primary job. Now after blaming Bush for high gas prices and his failed energy policies, they have gone on vacation without addressing these issues as well.
It is really like watching children, and not the good kids in class either. I find it hard to believe how anyone can vote these people back into office. Not only are they not passing legislation, Pelosi will not even allow debates or votes on the Republicans’ ideas. This seems to be a trend with the Democratic leadership. Criticize in public, do nothing in private and hope voters will not realize what you are doing.
Sounds like a great plan to me. Now let me click my heels three times…there’s no place like home….there’s no place like home…..Everything is all better now.
