Well, I give it to you. The New York Times has refused to publish an editorial written by John McCain after publishing an article written by Barack Obama the week before. It was refused by Editor David Shipley, who worked for the Clinton Administration for 3 years.
It does not surprise me that the media is so biased; I have seen it first hand with the reporters I took with me on missions. But it does surprise me that they have become so brazen in their bias. They do not even attempt to hide it anymore.
It really doesn’t matter what kind of excuse Shipley comes up with because it has already backfired. The refusal of the editorial has given more publicity to it than if it was just published outright. And it was published….on the Drudge Report….which has about 20 million readers everyday.

I was so mad when I heard about that, but now I love that they refused it, because of what you said, it gave so much attention to McCain’s!
Yeah, the media is sooo bias. What was McCain’s rape joke in the news for two seconds? Not on any major networks either. If Obama said it, it would be on the news 24/7 for two months!
And what of all these gaffes McCain is making? They aren’t in the news at all! What’s up with that? The McCain campaign is banking on the media’s ignorance of reporting meaningful news. And they’re right to beat on it. The media has dissected Obama up and down but all these mistakes and flip flops McCain is making go unnoticed.
McCain doesn’t speak for the McCain campaign. LMAO! Where’s that in the news?
Jan,
The rape joke you are referring to supposedly happened in 1986. When the huffington post contacted the original author of the story (Norma Coile ) she could not confirm that the joke actually was made.
The bias I speak of is based on numbers. The ratio of monetary contributions given to the democratic presidential candidates vs Republicans is 10 to 1. If you take out the contributions given to Guliani, the ratio jumps to 100 to 1. Source: IBD.
I also refer to the time each candidate is reported on and the type of stories written. The media itself has admitted to their unproportional numbers thus far.
You did not list any of the gaffes from McCain so I cannot confirm or deny if they have been covered. I tend not to respond to vague comments that are not backed up with something…whether that something is wrong or right.
