Wesley Clark Slams McCain

June 30, 2008

The Democratic minions have started their attacks on John McCain and they start by attacking his military credentials??  Former General Wesley Clark, a man mentioned as a possible Obama running mate said McCain had not held executive responsibility and had not commanded troops in wartime.  Wes Clark said “He hasn’t been there and ordered the bombs to fall” alluding to his own time as NATO commander during the Kosovo conflict.  In a former interview Clark said,” I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president.”

That last comment is absolutely despicable, but completely expected from the likes of Wesley Clark.  There are a couple of things you should know about old Wes.  First, he was fired as NATO commander due to demonstrated poor judgment and integrity issues.  He also would have started a major conflict with Russia if it were not for a British General who would not follows orders given by Clark.  This isn’t something I am making up.  Here it is straight from General Shelton, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  “I’ve known Wes for a long time. I will tell you the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart.”

He has joined the ranks of John Murtha, John Kerry, and former Gen McPeak (Obama’s current military advisor) whose ambition in politics override the value they place on things such as character.  These are the types of former military men that endorse Democratic candidates.  When you look at McCain’s endorsements, the first thing you see is a list of over 100 retired generals and admirals. No Vietnam War protesters.  Just men who served their country and did the job they were given to the best of their ability.

And by the way, while McCain was no NATO commander, he did serve his country and spent 5 years in a Vietnam POW camp.  He knows what it is to serve and lead soldiers.  What executive experience makes Obama any more qualified to be President.  Was it the community service projects he led in Chicago or was it his 8 years in the Illinois State Legislature?  To that Clark responded with Obama is running on strength of character and good judgment.  I almost laughed said the talking dog.  John Murtha who falsely accused Marines of being “cold blooded killers”, John Kerry who got one of his purple hearts by accidentally fragging himself only to come back and disgrace the uniform by protesting the war and throwing his medals away, and now Wes Clark, fired for lack of character and integrity.  Some judge of character.  Some Presidential candidate.
